About Us

MC3 2.0 is an interdisciplinary cross-institutional research project, funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council. The core research team includes a diversity of scholars from Royal Roads University, the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University and the Washington State University. Research partners include BC Healthy Communities, Pembina Institute, BC Hydro, the Fraser Basin Council, the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, the Union of British Columbia Municipalities, Sustainability Solutions Group, the David Suzuki Foundation, BC Housing and the Community Energy Association.

We are deeply committed to making a difference with our research, communicating our research outcomes as proactively as possible. We will continue to engage in active blogging about new innovations in energy efficiency, breaking climate news and social innovations domestically and internationally. Over the next three years we will also be leading a bi-monthly series of e-Dialogues with members of the research team and our partners, especially leading into the December 2015 climate talks in Paris. Our new dialogue platform features an instant chat function where you can ask questions of the research team. We will also publish annual policy papers summarizing our research for policy-makers in the province and nationally.
